Kanel: A Swedish Bakery in Greece with a Scandinavian Feel

Architecture and design studio Fluo recently completed a new family-owned Swedish konditori (bakery) in Thessaloniki, Greece. After years living in Sweden, the owners returned with a traditional Swedish recipe for kanelbullar (cinnamon rolls) in hand, inspiring the opening of Kanel.

The designers went for a Scandinavian aesthetic, while keeping in mind its Greece location, by dividing the space into warm and cold zones.
